Algonquin College

Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public college located in Ottawa, Canada's capital. It is known for its innovative curriculum and the use of technology in the classroom. More than 1,000 international students are enrolled in its programs each year.

Stablished in 1965, Algonquin College's mission is to provide students access to training and skills demanded in the labor camps, ensuring the highest professional success. The name Algonquin is a native word used by aboriginal Canadians to name the area where the College stands today.

159 full-time programs are offered in various delivery formats, such as bachelors, advanced diplomas, graduate certificates and English as Second Language programs. Some of the most requested programs by international students in Algonquin are: Event Management, Hospitality Management, Mechanical Engineering and Green Architecture, besides others.

Among other advantages, Algonquin offers for its students the International Education Center, which provides personal and academic support to over 1,000 international students from 100 countries. In addition, Algonquin understands the reality of the international students and facilitates their application process including support for special procedures, such as special letters for local Trade Commissions of Immigration offices of their native country.

With three on-campus residences and computer labs open 24 hours seven days a week, gym, fitness center and many associations and competitive sports clubs, Algonquin College students enjoy an amazing atmosphere and the largest and most modern facilities in the province of Ontario.
